Terms and conditions
Last updated: 29 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Daftar (“we”, “us”), which runs Daftar. By creating an account or using Daftar, you agree to these terms. If you use Daftar for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.
1. What Daftar is
Daftar is online software for making invoices, recording purchases and payments, and keeping a ledger of what parties owe. It is a record-keeping tool. It is not accounting, tax or legal advice.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give a real email address.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us at theprmarketingteam@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account.
3. Your data belongs to you
Everything you enter or import stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Daftar for you. You can download your records from the app, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data.
4. Your responsibility for invoices and tax
Daftar works out totals and GST from what you enter, but you are responsible for:
- checking that invoice details, GST rates, HSN/SAC codes and place of supply are correct;
- meeting your own GST, e-invoicing, e-way bill and record-keeping duties;
- filing your returns. Figures such as “GST to pay (estimate)” are a guide only. Check them with your accountant.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Daftar to make false or fake invoices, to break any law, to send spam, or to try to access other people’s accounts or data. You must not try to break, overload or copy the service. We may suspend an account that does these things.
6. Price and plans
Daftar is free during early access. When paid plans start, we will tell you the price and what each plan includes before you are charged anything. If you do not choose a paid plan, you can keep using the free plan within its limits, or download your data and leave.
7. Availability and backups
We work to keep Daftar running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable or that data can never be lost. Keep your own copies of important records, for example by downloading monthly spreadsheets and PDFs.
8. Limitation of liability
Daftar is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits, penalties or interest caused by incorrect invoices or late filing. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you have not paid anything.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Daftar and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it. If we ever shut Daftar down, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice to download your data.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date above and tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using Daftar after that, the new terms apply.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts in [City], India. Before going to court, please write to us at theprmarketingteam@gmail.com so we can try to solve it.
